This season of The Color of STEM has three of the most talented and progressive leaders in STEM kicking things off. Straight outta Compton, Anthony D. Mays has defied incredible odds to become a formidable tech leader. The former foster kid who was abused while in care became employed by Google as a coveted software engineer. He took that decade of experience and matriculated to a sought-after speaker and inclusion advocate for future tech talent turning his passion into purpose.
This episode also features Ariana Waller. “The Techie” is the CEO and Engineer at Mueshi, a marketplace where you can buy, sell, and fractionally invest in Fine Art NFT’s. A proud Tuskegee grad, Ms. Waller was a NASA Grant scholar for exceptional academic performance who turned it all into a career as a blockchain engineer. The Atlanta, GA native is also host of a global podcast called "Women in Tech" and was also a part of The Re-Act Tech Conference where she shared her inspiring story.
This exclusive presentation of The Color of STEM also highlights the career accomplishments and contributions of Dr. Jeanette Davis better known as Dr. Ocean. A marine microbiologist, author and diversity advocate, Dr. Ocean has a B.S. in Marine and Environmental Science from Hampton and a Ph.D. in Marine Microbiology from the University of MD. Candid and charismatic, Dr. O is an engaged mentor and a worldwide leader in her field.
